Position Overview | North Vancouver Recreation & Culture (NVRC) is dedicated to building healthy individuals, families and communities. NVRC offers a wide range of recreation and cultural programs and services to residents of all ages and abilities. We are currently seeking energetic, responsible and highly-motivated individuals who are able to prepare and lead Babysitter Training & Home Alone programs. WHY WORK FOR US? Responsibilities | ABOUT YOU You are a courteous and effective team player committed to providing quality and safe programs to the community. You are reliable, responsive to customer needs, and excellent at building relationships. You will be comfortable working with children, other leaders, volunteers and facility staff. DUTIES: As a casual Leadership Instructor 1- Babysitter Training & Home Alone you will be responsible for lesson planning, and delivering a fun and interactive learning experience for school aged children. Requirements | SKILLS REQUIRED:
QUALIFICATIONS: Successful candidates will be a minimum of 16 years of age, with previous experience planning and leading school age and youth programs, have current Standard First Aid, CPR Level C and Babysitter Training/Home Alone credentials. Consideration will be given to applicants who demonstrate a willingness to complete the Child Safe Trainer requirements, if currently not certified. High Five certification must be obtained within 3 months of employment. All employees should be prepared to work at any North Vancouver Recreation & Culture location. All candidates are required to submit a Police Information Check as a requirement of the position prior to any appointment. |
Compensation | The range for this casual position ranges from $21-23/hr |
Hours of Work | Programs run Mon-Fri or Tues-Fri between 9am-1pm. Times vary based on location. |
