Position Overview
The North Vancouver Recreation & Culture is dedicated to building healthy individuals, families and communities. NVRC offers a wide range of recreation, social, health and cultural programs and services to residents of all ages and abilities.

We are currently accepting applications for an instructor to teach beginner to advanced Pottery programs.
Responsibilities
ABOUT THE JOB

You will prepare and teach pottery lessons to all ages including handbuilding, wheel work, glazing, and other pottery related topics.

  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to effectively teach pottery and sculpture to adults
  • Ability to be flexible in a dynamic environment with different personalities
  • Experience in Pottery
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

High Five: Principles of Healthy Child Development certification, Emergency Childcare First Aid or equivalent, and pottery experience. Previous experience teaching is an asset.

All employees should be prepared to work at any North Vancouver Recreation & Culture location. All candidates are required to submit a Police Record Check as a requirement of the position prior to any appointment. Clearance requires the absence of any criminal charges or convictions related to this position.

Compensation $20.00 - $26.00 per hour, based on education and experience.
