Position Overview | North Vancouver Recreation & Culture (NVRC) is dedicated to building healthy individuals, families and communities. We offer a wide range of recreation and cultural programs and services to residents of all ages and abilities. Responsibilities | ABOUT YOU You are an energetic and highly-motivated individual who is available to instruct one or more of our fitness programs. You have an excellent understanding of the specific fitness category and skilled at proper and safe use of a variety of equipment during each class. You are a team player who is committed to community. You are reliable, responsive to customer needs and excellent at building relationships. You are courteous and effective with the public and enjoy working with a diverse group of people and instructing in a safe and friendly manner. |
Requirements | QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS: The ideal candidate will have the BCRPA Group Fitness certification or equivalent certification from a recognized provider, additional certification in TRX and/or Spin modules, and a current certification in Emergency First Aid & CPR/AED. All candidates are required to submit a Police Information Check as a condition of employment. We thank you for your interest, but advise only those selected for an interview will be contacted. |
Compensation | $26 - $28 plus 4% in lieu of benefits for Membership programs. $32 plus 4% in lieu of benefits for Registered programs. Rate of pay is based on training and experience. |
Hours of Work | Hours may vary and instructors should be prepared to work early mornings, evenings and/or weekends at any North Vancouver Recreation & Culture location. |
